Mountain biker Rab Wardell has tragically died, in his sleep aged 37.<br /><br />The Glaswegian passed away, just two days after winning the elite men's title, at the Scottish MTB XC Championships.<br /><br />Wardell had appeared on BBC Scotland, on Monday night following his against the odds victory.<br /><br />The Scottish Cross Country Association wrote, in a heartfelt statement, "Our deepest sympathy to his friends, family and loved ones.<br />
