The new Toyota Yaris Cross is celebrating a tailor-made debut: just a few weeks after its market launch in Germany, the small city SUV has already sold more than 5,000 units in this country.<br /><br />The newest member of the family offers more ground clearance and a higher seating position compared to the Yaris, but thanks to the successful GA-B platform it also offers high body rigidity, a low center of gravity and a balanced chassis. The efficient 1.5-liter hybrid drive takes care of the propulsion as standard, and one in four buyers opts for the optional all-wheel drive. The intelligent system automatically sends the torque to the rear wheels when required, thus ensuring the best traction on any surface.
