Shocking video footage shows a massive rubbish pile – thought to stretch nearly 100ft down a street in Edinburgh.<br /><br />Pictures from Montgomery Street today (Fri) show eight huge bins overflowing with rubbish and mountains of black bags piled up beside them.<br /><br />Hoards of takeaway and cardboard boxes covered the pavement amid bin strikes in the city.<br /><br />The strike began on August 18 and is due to finish on August 30, targeting the festival season.<br /><br />Unite and GMB unions took action while the City of Edinburgh Council promised a clean-up would happen immediately after.<br /><br />Source: SWNS
