This time the circular journey is a theme based journey, i.e. Biryani. Apart from the places which are famous for Biryani, we will also visit other places (mainly centering those Biryani famous places). In this tour vlog, we showed our visit to Kozhikore (Calicut) which is a city along the Malabar Coast in the state of Kerala in India. It is the largest city in the region known as Malabar and was the capital of the British-era Malabar district. Kozhikode was dubbed the City of Spices for its role as the major trading point for Indian spices. Hence, to explore the Malabari cuisine, specially Malabari Biryani we headed towards the city. We tried Malabari Biryani along with several other Malabari Food items over there at multiple eateries.

Also, we took a part in Malabar Mahosavam. This is an annual tourism festival organised by Kozhikode District Tourism Promotion Council in December and January. Classical dance, music and traditional arts performances showcase the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. Kathakali, Mohiniyattom, Ottamthullal performances are also held.

Summery: Was the Malabari Biryani during Malabar Festival (Mahotsavam) a special one?
