Workers from the People's Republic of China conducted a geotechnical investigation or soil sampling for the highly-anticipated Samal Island-Davao City Connector (SIDC) Project along Lanang in Davao City.<br /><br />The proposed bridge will be funded by a $350-million loan from the Chinese government.<br /><br />The Philippines and China inked the loan agreement on June 13, 2022 and reportedly set to start the construction this year. <br /><br />According to the reports, the 3.9-kilometer bridge is set to be completed in 2027.
