Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said that the Indian cricket team used the Asia Cup T20 tournament as a platform for experimentation but that didn't work out and the Rohit Sharma-led side failed to defend their crown. <br /> <br />"They are experimenting to try and get the best set of combinations to go into the T20 World Cup. The Asia Cup has been a platform for experimentation, which hasn't worked," Sunil Gavaskar told India Today consulting editor, Rajdeep Sardesai.
