This weekend's Western Australian by-election in the 'northwest central' electorate is shaping up as a contest between the National and Liberal parties. While the liberal party won only eight per cent of the vote in last year's state election Labor's decision not to run a candidate is likely to make the contest between the coalition partners a much tighter race.
