SCOTT McTOMINAY celebrated Cristiano Ronaldo's first goal of the season by seeming to whisper "siuu" in his ear.<br /><br />The 37-year-old Portuguese superstar fired from the penalty spot in Manchester United's 2-0 Europa League win over FC Sheriff.<br /><br />After placing the ball in the middle, Ronaldo ran to the corner to do his signature spin jump.<br /><br />He was later harassed by his Red Devils teammates, including midfielder McTominay.<br /><br />And video replays showed the fit Scotsman appearing to make the "siuu" sound at the gathering, echoing thousands of Ronaldo fans on the ground.<br /><br />Some fans on Twitter loved McTominay's support.<br /><br />One said: "Best thing he's done in four years."<br /><br />Another wrote: "Epic."<br /><br />But others found the whole thing "embarrassing" and "embarrassing".<br /><br />A third commented: "Grow up."<br /><br />And one end user replied: "A bit sad, isn't it?"<br /><br />However, the rest of McTominay's display drew much praise as he continues to enjoy a hot run under Erik ten Hag keeping Casemiro out of the team for £70m in the summer.<br /><br />Meanwhile, some desperate Ronaldo fans also pointed out that the goal ensured that his hero surpassed Lionel Messi's all-time tally in the Europa League.<br /><br />His penalty was his first goal in UEFA B-list club competition.<br /><br />But that's one more than Messi, who has zero goals in zero appearances.<br />
