Adnan Syed was seen enjoying time at home after spending more than 20 years behind bars.<br /><br />Adnan, 41, was released from prison after a judge overturned his 2000 conviction for the murder of Hae Min Lee.<br /><br />He was seen leaving the court to cheers from supporters with further footage showing him getting food from a fridge with the caption "leftovers never tasted so good".<br /><br />The footage was captured by attorney and advocate Rabia Chaudry, who spearheaded the campaign for Adnan's release.<br /><br />Adnan, then aged 19, was convicted of the 1999 murder of his girlfriend Hae Min Lee in a park in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.<br /><br />Hae Min Lee was found buried in Leakin Park with her cause of death being ruled as manual strangulation.<br /><br />The case garnered much attention in 2014 after the hit podcast Serial covered the incident in detail.<br /><br />Episodes of the show have been downloaded more than 340 million times. The case has also spawned other works, including an HBO docuseries in 2019.<br /><br />On September 19, a Maryland judge overturned the conviction after prosecutors claimed two other potential suspects were never disclosed.<br /><br />Syed is currently serving home detention while the state decides whether to pursue a new trial or not.<br /><br />Source: SWNS
