Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz is tabling Budget 2023 in the Dewan Rakyat.<br /><br />The budget will be the last for the 14th Parliament, and is widely expected to be filled with goodies ahead of the next general election, the timing of which remains a suspense.<br /><br />Families with a household income of less than RM2,500 are qualified for cash handouts. The amount depends on the size of the family.<br /><br />More than five children: RM2,500<br /><br />Between 1 and 4 children: RM1,000 to RM2,000<br /><br />Senior citizens who are single: Either RM350 or RM600<br /><br />Those who are on the e-Kasih list will receive RM40 subsidy for electricity.
