HMS Prince of Wales prepares to dock at Rosyth for repair to the starboard propeller<br />Damaged Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales has arrived in Fife for repairs following a number of delays<br /><br />"Returning to our birthplace... the fastest and safest way to be repaired and returned to carrier operations," HMS Prince of Wales said.<br /><br />Ship tracker website MarineTraffic shows HMS Prince of Wales anchored off Rosyth.<br /><br />The £3.2bn vessel was originally due to set sail for Scotland last Monday but following a string of delays caused by technical problems, she did not leave Portsmouth until about 11pm on Friday.<br /><br />The warship broke down off the Isle of Wight in August after leaving her home base to take part in flight trials and diplomatic visits in the US.<br /><br />Inspections by divers and engineers found that the NATO flagship's 33-ton starboard propeller – the same weight as 30 Ford Fiesta cars – had malfunctioned with a coupling holding it in place breaking.<br />
