A member of the caretaker cabinet has challenged caretaker prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob to remove the former.<br /><br />This challenge was issued by Abdul Latiff Ahmad, whom Ismail Sabri appointed in 2021 as a minister of special functions.<br /><br />"We are still members of the 'caretaker' cabinet. It is not too late to be sacked. Perhaps the ninth prime minister can create history by sacking a cabinet member during 'injury time'," Latiff (above, right) said in a statement.<br /><br />This was in response to Ismail Sabri jokingly stating that he should have sacked the 12 cabinet members who petitioned the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to protest against dissolving Parliament this year.
