Virgil van Dijk missed a sitter against Nottingham Forest and fans can't believe what happened. <br /><br />Following an in-swinging cross, the Dutch international had a free header from inside the six-yard box but opted to pass instead of shoot. <br /><br />Van Dijk's decision left a lot of fans confused and they took to social media to display their dismay at the missed chance. <br /><br />Liverpool fans instantly took to social media to share their thoughts on Van Dijk's miss and found it hard to contain their confusion.<br /><br />One fan tweeted 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING VAN DIJK' and another said it was 'terrible decision making' as they saw their star Centre-back head it across goal.<br /><br />In a game that Liverpool went on to lose, the decision to pass instead of shoot will now be annoying Liverpool fans even more. <br /><br />Unlike Liverpool supporters, rival fans could see the funny side of the miss and took to Twitter to laugh at the header. <br /><br />One Twitter user said: 'Van Dijk is too good at defending, he simply had to header that out'<br /><br />A Manchester United fan referred to the miss as 'criminal' as Van Dijk's header flew across the six-yard box. <br /><br />This header wasn't the only chance for the Liverpool Centre-back as Van Dijk also missed a glorious opportunity to score late on.<br /><br />The Dutch defender was denied by Dean Henderson as he rose highest to head an effort towards goal.<br /><br />Liverpool fans will be left ruing the missed chances by Van Dijk as they head back home without any points.
