As a part of Diwali celebrations, the effigy of ‘Narakasura’ was burnt in Panaji on October 24. It was done to mark Hindu God Krishna’s victory over Narakasura. <br /><br />Diwali celebrations in Goa include the burning of firecracker-stuffed effigies of Asura King ‘Narakasura’.
