As DAP ramps up the number of Malay candidates, Umno vice-president Mahdzir Khalid warned that the move was merely to shore up the party's multi-ethnic credentials.<br /><br />According to Buletin TV3, Mahdzir told reporters in Kuala Nerang, Kedah yesterday that DAP was fielding Malay candidates in seats where it would be tough for them to win.<br /><br />It is part of their tactic to show that they are multi-ethnic. However, everyone knows party decisions are made by a small group who are Chinese-centric, he said.
