Lifehacker recently offered readers a handy list of the best and the worst roads in the United States.<br />The list ranks every state's public roads by the total miles against the percentage of "acceptable" miles and comes up with a rating between zero and ten.<br />The info was taken from the Bureau of Transportation's 2020 data and compared to existing data from 2015.<br />These are the top five states with the worst roads in the country: <br />5, Hawaii (3.13/10)<br />4. Mississippi (2.65/10)<br />3, Arizona (2.4/10)<br />2, New Mexico (1.43/10)<br />The state with the worst rating was West Virginia, which was awardeda score of just .06 out of ten.<br />Only 70% of roads in West Virginia were found to be in an "acceptable" state.<br />On the flip side, the best roads in the country were found in:<br />5, Iowa (8.3/10)<br />4, Minnesota (8.16/10)<br />3, Virgina (7.96/10)<br />2, North Dakota (7.55/10)<br />1, Vermont (7.28/10)
