Incumbent Seputeh MP Teresa Kok has urged the Election Commission to disqualify Jamal Md Yunos' candidacy for the Sungai Besar election.<br /><br />In a letter to EC chairperson Abdul Ghani Salleh, Kok said she had served Jamal with a bankruptcy notice on Aug 30 based on a judgment she received on July 26.<br /><br />"Jamal has not fulfilled the court order and my bankruptcy proceeding against him is ongoing," Kok told Abdul Ghani.<br /><br />In view of this, Kok urged the EC to prevent Jamal from being a candidate for Sungai Besar during the nomination process tomorrow.
