Snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan has been slammed for refusing to shake Judd Trump's hand after his amazing 147 break.

#RonnieO'Sullivan

During the Champions final, O'Sullivan was 6-1 ahead when Trump cleared 15 reds, 15 blacks and all the colours in one go and was met with cheers from the crowd.

O'Sullivan is no stranger to a 147 and will know it's customary to shake your opponent's hand, but the seven-time world champion remained seated and has come under serious criticism for doing so.

Stephen Hendry and Ken Doherty were part of the punditry on the night and ripped into O'Sullivan's etiquette after the incident.

Seven-time champion Hendry said: 'Look, no one took more displeasure in their opponents doing things well against them more than me.

'But shake the guy's hand. He has made a 147, it's in the final and you are 6-1 up. Shake the guy's hand. It was incredible.

'When I made the other one against him he had to shake my hand…because it was the end of the match.'

O'Sullivan's actions are even more bemusing given that fact that he's made a record 15 maximum breaks himself.

Irish snooker legend Doherty said: 'It was a magnificent break from Judd, one of the best 147s you will see. There were a lot of really tough shots and under such pressure at 6-1 behind.

'I was a little bit surprised that Ronnie didn't come out and shake Judd's hand and congratulate him - there was no reaction from him - it was like it was just another frame.'

He led 6-1 before fellow Englishman Trump fought back to 7-6 but O'Sullivan pulled away again and took the final three frames without reply before winning 10-6.

It's his second title of the campaign after also coming out on top at the Hong Kong Masters in October.

Just last month, O'Sullivan revealed that he is no longer excited about playing snooker and does not care if he plays well anymore.

O'Sullivan suffered a shock 4-3 defeat to David Grace in the second round of the Northern Ireland Open on Wednesday, and opened up about his lack of motivation after the loss.
