Kentucky Voters Reject , Constitutional Amendment on Abortion.<br />NPR reports that Amendment 2 was on the ballot for the midterm elections.<br />It would have added the following <br />language to the state's constitution:.<br />To protect human life, nothing in this constitution shall be construed to secure or protect a right to abortion or require the funding of abortion, Via Proposed Amendment to Kentucky's Constitution.<br />Kentucky voted "no" to <br />adopting the language. .<br />However, NPR reports that this doesn't necessarily mean abortion access is protected in Kentucky.<br />In August, the Kentucky Court of Appeals lifted an injunction on the state's "trigger law" that bans abortion after six weeks of pregnancy except for life-threatening circumstances.<br />The state's trigger law was set to go into effect when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.<br />The Kentucky Supreme Court has allowed abortion laws to remain in place amid legal proceedings.<br />Oral arguments to challenge <br />the laws will take place on Nov. 12
