Prime minister Narendra Modi on 8th November 2016 announced the govt’s decision of demonetization. Between that day and today’s date 6 years have passed. And although the BJP claims demonetization was done to fight corruption and black money, it doesn’t tout it as a one of the prominent achievements or cite it in election manifestos. That’s something to ponder about.<br /><br />However, today we are talking about the Central govt’s response to Supreme Court query. As you know the Supreme Court is currently hearing a petition challenging the move of demonetization.
