'New York Post' reports that Guy died on Nov. 3, 2022 following a lengthy illness.<br />Deemed by many as the "greatest punter of all time," Guy was a first-round pick for the Oakland Raiders in 1973.<br />He was the first punter to ever be selected in the first round of the NFL Draft.<br />'New York Post' reports that only one other punter, Steve Little in 1978, has ever been picked in the first round.<br />John Madden coached Guy from 1973-78 and called him "the best punter I've ever known."<br />"When we first drafted him, it was a heck of a choice. I thought then he could be the greatest in the league, but I changed my mind. I think Ray proved he’s the best of all time." John Madden, via 'New York Post'<br />Guy was a seven-time Pro Bowler and was a first-team All-Pro six times.<br />He also had a hand in three Super Bowl championships.<br />Guy was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
