As soon as Dallas Empire announced their roster in October 2019, they were placed amongst the favourites for the CDL 2020 season before they had even played a game. Combining veteran talent such as Clayster and Crimsix with hot FPS prospects Shottzy, Huke and Illey, the roster featured a unique mix that no other CDL team could quite match.<br /><br />It took a while for the team to gel though, as Empire struggled to win just a single map at the Launch Weekend event in Minnesota. While some fans doubted their ability at LAN - claiming the younger members of the roster were only good online.
