MILLIONS of England fans were left disappointed after a 0-0 draw tonight but many still got boozy in pubs anyway to forget the 90 minutes of World Cup agony.<br /><br />Three Lions supporters endured a tense nail-biter, but were devastated after Southgate's men took on the United States and failed to score.<br /><br />England went close early doors when skipper Harry Kane's shot was blocked for a corner while Mason Mount had a point-blank effort saved.<br /><br />Kane had a free header late on but missed the target in a dull display for the Three Lions.<br /><br />The Americans defended resolutely throughout and were the closest to breaking the deadlock when Pulisic smashed a shot off the bar.<br /><br />Southgate made a number of changes to try and spark the Three Lions into life with fans getting more and more nervy as the goalless match ticked on.<br /><br />England supporters across the country were on the edge of their seats during the tense match as neither team managed to score.<br /><br /><br />Fans across the country were seen biting their fingernails and taking gulps from their pints while others had to look away.<br /><br />Some were pictured with their hands on their heads as chance after chance went begging for the Three Lions.<br /><br />Other frustrated fans yelled at the players who failed to score during a flat performance for Southgate's men.<br /><br />A win would have seen England confirm their progress to the last 16 but it was not to be.<br /><br />Gareth Southgate's side had headed into the game in stunning form after thrashing Iran 6-2 in their opener in Doha.<br /><br />Earlier in the evening, raucous Three Lions fans were pictured in a party mood for tonight's drama by packing out pubs and flying the flag.<br /><br />Chants of It's Coming Home also filled the air as excitement reached fever pitch across the country.<br /><br />But despite the loss, fans were set to keep on boozing with the weekend ahead of them.<br /><br />Millions were expected to be pulling a sickie today - despite the England vs USA game not kicking off till after work.<br /><br />And expectant supporters who were already drinking since noon have continued to do so after a drab 90 minutes.<br /><br />Some fans tried to keep the cheery pre-match spirit alive as they got involved at pubs in London.<br /><br />Boxpark venues in Wembley and Croydon were still packed with fans who had arrived for a cheeky pint or two after clocking off work early.<br /><br />Fans wearing national colors continued to drown drinks after England faced off against their transatlantic rivals.<br /><br />Others were snapped donning player-themed fancy dress, with one supporter wearing a Harry Maguire mask while hoisting a replica World Cup trophy aloft.<br /><br />The nerves soon got to fans as the goalless match ticked on.<br /><br />And gutted Geordies stormed out of Newcastle’s Central Fan Zone after the disappointing draw.<br /><br />Some headed to the bar to drown their sorrows while others stood shaking their heads.<br /><br />Emily Farairrie, 19, a bar worker from Newcastle said: “It was<br />embarrassing.<br /><br />“Every second in the last half was a nerve-wracking, finger biting moment.<br /><br />“The contrast between how they play
