Dash-cam footage captured the dramatic moment a thug driver was rammed by a cop car as he tried to flee on foot after a high-speed chase.<br /><br />Waleed Ahmed Chaudhry, 25, sped through red lights, drove on the wrong side of the road and overtook on a blind bend in a bid to out-run police.<br /><br />His Toyota Yaris was finally brought to a stop when cops used a stinger to burst his tyres following the chase in Carlton, Nottingham.<br /><br />Video shows Chaudhry try and leap out of the driver’s door but was blocked by the police car which pinned him inside the motor.<br /><br />He finally wriggled free and ran away but was rugby tackled to the ground by an officer a short distance away.<br /><br />Nottinghamshire Police released footage of the October 10 chase after Chaudhry was jailed for 12 months.<br /><br />Chaudhry, of Bestwood, Notts., admitted dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.<br /><br />He was also banned from driving for three years when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court last Thursday (23/11).<br /><br />PC Jonathan Lee, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Road Crime Team, said: “Chaudhry showed a complete disregard for the safety and welfare of other road users, members of the public and officers carrying out their lawful duty.
