Garmisch-Partenkirchen is an Alpine ski town in Bavaria, southern Germany. Nearby is Germany's highest mountain, Zugspitze, at 2,962 metres (9,718 ft) above sea level.
Garmisch (in the west) and Partenkirchen (in the east) were separate towns for many centuries, and still maintain quite separate identities with a rivalery going on between them that is mostly on ironic terms, but not always though...

After a great collaboration with GaPa Tourismus last summer we decided to team up again and shoot a winter episode.

There is an incredible amount of things you can do within a very small radius from the city. You can literally leave the city in any direction and find something amazing to see and to do.
You even take a train from the city center which brings you directly to the Zugspitze, the highest mountain peak in Germany were you can spend the night in an Iglu.

But don't take my word for it. Check it out yourself and enjoy this trip through stunning landscapes, breathtaking mountains, traditional carnival and picturesque postcard settings.

Thanks to Elisabeth Brück and Kathrin Richter from GaPa Tourismus for making this episode happen.

For all drone shots in this film there were permissions from multiple parties necessary.
Please do not fly your drone in any of these locations without proper permission!

Gear list:
Lumix GH5 https://amzn.to/3cqZg3G
Lumix 7-14 mm https://amzn.to/3ckx3f4
Lumix 14-140mm https://amzn.to/3r61aeq
Gimbal Weebill S https://amzn.to/3r77diC
360° Camera https://amzn.to/3cnMkeX
Actioncam: https://amzn.to/3ta5QSc
Mavic Pro 2 https://amzn.to/2Yxw0A4
DJI Mini 2 (Great with new EU regulation) https://amzn.to/2MG5mlW
SSD https://amzn.to/36tQU7T & https://amzn.to/36r7u89
SD Cards: https://amzn.to/3agwXSV
Boom Pole for Gimbal https://amzn.to/3tbrPIr
Gorillpod: https://amzn.to/2NRM4uH
Tripod: https://amzn.to/3r4Hibj
Tall Tripod for „No drone zones“: https://amzn.to/3crDKw2
Backpack: https://amzn.to/3r2x4IH
Macbook Pro: https://amzn.to/3j3KmBH
iMac: https://amzn.to/2NQkSfP
iPhone SE as screen for drone and Gimbal: https://amzn.to/3ox5eT9
Phone wristholder for „gimbal on pole shots“: https://amzn.to/3rctHPz
Post Production: https://amzn.to/3tbUYDy

As an Amazon Associate, I earn a small fee from qualifying purchases.

Social Media
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LittleBigWorld
Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/spoonfilm
YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/littlebigworld
Web: http://www.spoonfilm.com

A time lapse & tilt shift & aerial video by Joerg Daiber
You can license raw footage clips from the Little Big World series here:
https://www.gettyimages.de/video/spoonfilm?assettype=film&phrase=spoonfilm&sort=newest&license=rf%2Crr
Recent productions may not be on Getty yet.
