Ron DeSantis.<br />According to the poll, a head-to-head primary matchup shows DeSantis leading Trump 56% to 33%.<br />Republicans and conservative independents increasingly want Trumpism without Trump, David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University <br />Political Research Center​, to 'USA Today'.<br />Among Republicans, Trump's favorability rating <br />fell from 75% in October to 64% in December.<br />The poll also found that if Trump were to go head <br />to head with President Biden, he'd lag by 7%.<br />DeSantis, on the other hand, tops Biden by 4% in the hypothetical matchup.<br />DeSantis has not yet announced any intention of running for the nation's highest office
