Elon Musk Disables Twitter Spaces , After Clash With Banned Journalists.<br />Elon Musk Disables Twitter Spaces , After Clash With Banned Journalists.<br />CNN reports that on the evening of Dec. 15, several high-profile journalists were banned from Twitter.<br />In a series of tweets, Musk claimed that he permanently suspended their accounts for violating his new "doxxing" policy.<br />Doxxing is when someone's personal information or location is shared online.<br />TechCrunch reports that banned Twitter users are still able to use its group audio feature, Spaces.<br />The banned journalists and Jack Sweeney, <br />who famously tracked Musk's jet, started a <br />group chat in Spaces to discuss their suspensions.<br />Musk joined in and criticized not only those who were accused of doxxing, but those who reported on it in regard to the Twitter CEO. .<br />After the journalists asked for clarification and <br />challenged Musk over regulation inconsistencies, Musk reiterated his doxxing claims and abruptly left the chat. .<br />Later on, the Spaces feature <br />became unavailable to users. .<br />When asked by a Twitter user what was going on with <br />the audio feature, Musk claimed that they were <br />"fixing a legacy bug," and it should be working again soon.<br />The entire situation has led many to criticize Musk's actions as hypocritical since he is a self-proclaimed "free speech absolutist."
