Belagavi police has denied permission to a convention to be organised by Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti, a linguistic outfit for Marathi speaking people in Belagavi, Karnataka. <br /><br />Section 144 has been imposed in Belagavi ahead of the assembly session which will start from December 19. <br /><br />Heavy police personnel were present at the place where the Mahamela will be held.
