Despite blackouts and the ongoing conflict, the western city of Lviv is preparing for the New Year and Christmas. Thanks to generators, the streets are decorated with Christmas lights, and people buy ornaments in the city's stores. In Ukraine, Christmas is celebrated on January 7.<br />
