Cristiano Ronaldo made a young fan's day at his Al-Nassr unveiling as the superstar gifted her a signed football. <br /><br />The 37-year-old forward was officially unveiled as an Al-Nassr player on Tuesday following his arrival in Saudi Arabia after he agreed toa £ 175 million-a-year contract. <br /><br />Ronaldo was introduced as 'the world's greatest footballer' in front of 25,000 raucous supporters at Mrsool Park in Riyadh, to a backdrop of fireworks, flares, and strobe lighting.<br /><br />One particular supporter was greeted with a special gift from the 37-year-old in a touching moment as the Portuguese star signed a football.<br /><br />He then jogged over to the crowd, pointed towards a particular fan - and threw the ball into her arms. <br /><br />The supporter could barely believe her luck as she fell over backward before holding up their new prized possession from Ronaldo. <br /><br />The 37-year-old, whose contract at Old Trafford was terminated in November, has been criticized for quitting the European game and taking the Saudi money.<br /><br />But at his unveiling, he said: ‘This contract is unique but I’m a unique player, so for me it’s normal. I don’t worry about what people say. I am happy to be here. I am so proud to make a big decision in my life. My work in Europe is done. I won everything. I played for the most important clubs.<br /><br />‘For me now, it is a new challenge in Asia. I’m grateful that Al Nassr has given me this opportunity to develop not only football but also the young generation, the women’s generation. I want to change the mentality of the new generation.'<br /><br />The Portugal international also revealed that he had 'many opportunities' to join clubs in Europe and South America, before opting to join his new club.<br /><br />Ronaldo said: ‘I had many opportunities in Europe and many clubs in Brazil, Australia, USA, and even in Portugal, many clubs tried to sign me. But I gave my word to this club. <br /><br />‘I know what I want, and I know what I don’t want. For me, it’s a good challenge to change and to help with my knowledge and experience to grow many important points here.' <br /><br />Ronaldo had hoped to make his debut for his new club on Thursday night, but Sportsmail exclusively revealed how the 37-year-old is banned as he is yet to serve a two-match FA suspension for smashing an Everton fan's phone last season. <br />
