Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will be holding a meeting on January 6 with the top officials regarding the cracks and seepage issue in Joshimath town of Chamoli. <br /><br />People in the district have been fleeing from their houses to safer places following incidents of land subsidence in the area. They also held a torchlight protest January 4, expressing their anger against the government for not providing accommodation and other facilities to those affected by the land subsidence.<br /><br />“I will hold a high-level meeting with top officials in Dehradun this evening regarding landslides in Joshimath and cracks in houses. I will visit Joshimath tomorrow and take stock of the situation. A team from BJP has also been sent there,” said Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
