These battered yummy cauliflower bites are crispy yet tender inside – the secret is that bites are dipped into runny dough then coated in bread crumbs. Battered cauliflower is an amazing appetizer or side dish. Everyone will enjoy it. <br /><br />✅ Ingredients:<br />• cauliflower – 35 oz / 1 kg <br />• wheat flour – 4,5 oz / 125 g <br />• corn starch – 2,5 oz / 70 g <br />• baking powder – 1 tsp <br />• chili sauce – 1 tbsp <br />• bread crumbs – 1 cup / 200 g <br />• deep frying vegetable oil – 2 cup / 500 ml <br />• ground garlic (garlic powder) – 1 tsp <br />• onion powder – 1 tsp <br />• water – 1 cup / 250 ml <br />• salt – 1.5 tsp <br /><br />✅ You will need:<br />• 2 bowls <br />• stockpot <br />• saucepan or deep pan <br /><br />Preparation: <br />1. Divide the cauliflower into average florets and lay into 3 pt /1,5 l of boiling water, add 1 tsp of salt and blanch for 4 minutes, take out of the water and cool. <br />2. Batter: add the flour, ½ tsp of salt, garlic and onion powders, baking powder, corn starch, chili sauce, 1 cup / 250 ml of water into big bowl and mix well until smooth. <br />3. Dip each floret into the batter allowing any excess to drip off then coat well in bread crumbs. <br />4. In the stockpot heat vegetable oil to 320F / 160°C and fry in phases all the cauliflower until golden brown for about 3,5 minutes. <br />5. Serve your battered cauliflower hot with favorite sauces.
