How to Change Drive Letter on Windows 11, 10, 8, or 7 with Disk Management?<br /><br />Windows automatically occupy a drive letter for every hard disk partition, like C, D, E, etc.<br /><br />However, if you need, you can change the drive letter using Disk Management.<br /><br />How to Change Drive Letter on Windows PCs using Disk Management?<br /><br />Every Windows ships with an inbuilt Disk Management tool, and you can use this method on all Windows versions, including Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10, and Windows 11.<br /><br />To change a drive letter using Disk Management window, first, click on the Start button.<br /><br />Then, type Disk Management.<br /><br />In the search results, click on “Create and format hard disk partitions” to launch the disk management inbuilt tool.<br /><br />The Disk Management window will list all volumes or drives, volume type, capacity, free space, etc.<br /><br />Right-click on a volume and select the “Change Drive Letters and Paths” option.<br /><br />Now, Click on the Change button and assign a free Letter. If you want to hide a drive, then simply click on the Remove button.<br /><br />Assign a new drive letter in the following window.<br /><br />Then, click the OK button.<br /><br />Click the Yes button if prompted.<br /><br />That's it.
