Apple Announces New Macs , With Its Most Powerful Processors to Date.<br />Apple Announces New Macs , With Its Most Powerful Processors to Date.<br />NBC News reports that on Jan. 17, Apple unveiled new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops that can be configured with M2 Pro or M2 Max chips.<br />NBC News reports that on Jan. 17, Apple unveiled new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops that can be configured with M2 Pro or M2 Max chips.<br />The Mac mini computer will <br />also support the new processors. .<br />The new computers will be <br />available on Jan. 24.<br />Starting prices are $599 for the Mac mini, $1,999 for the 14-inch MacBook Pro and $2,499 for the 16-inch MacBook Pro.<br />NBC News reports that the launch of the new computers comes after CFO Luca Maestri said in October that Apple's Mac sales would drop year-over-year in the December quarter.<br />Part of the reason may be because the company didn't have these new computers ready for consumers before the holiday season.<br />However, as inflation remains high and fears of a recession loom, Apple may still have a difficult time pushing sales.<br />Apple's 2021 December quarter Mac revenue was <br />up 25% year-over-year, hitting $10.85 billion.<br />The company is set to disclose <br />current earnings later in January.
