A woman was shocked to see her mother-in-law sat next to her in an old photo - a year before she met her future husband.<br /><br />Jeni Lawson, 31, rediscovered a photo she had taken of her son, Brayden, then five, at a monster truck show in 2018.<br /><br />She was shocked to see her now mother-in-law, Marilyn Lawson, 51, sat right next to them.<br /><br />Mum-of-three Jeni met her now-husband, Cameron Lawson, 31, in 2019. <br /><br />Neither Jeni or her mother-in-law recognised each other when they first met. <br /><br />It was only recently, when they came across the snap, they realised they had met before - and even had a full conversation at the show. <br /><br />Whilst she was there with her eldest son from a previous relationship, Jenni snapped a photo - unwittingly capturing her future mother-in-law in the seat beside him. <br /><br />The photo was forgotten, until it popped up as a Facebook memory in late 20202 and Jeni was shocked to see her husband's mum there.<br /><br />Jeni, a stay-at-home mum, from Comanche, Oklahoma, US, said: "I was living in Cache, Oklahoma, US, and took my son to a monster truck show about 45 minutes away in Duncan, Oklahoma, US. <br /><br />"My son was five at the time, and we were quite late so there were tons of people there and all the seats were already filled.<br /><br />"There was one tight spot and the woman sitting there, who is now my mother-in-law, was with a child who is actually my husband's sister's son.<br /><br />"She waved us over and was like 'sit here and I'll sit him on my lap'. We did talk a bit, neither of us can remember what about exactly.<br /><br />"I remember her grandson dropping his toy monster truck and I picked it up - it was just small talk really, it was packed in there and really loud.<br /><br />"I took some pictures of my son and fast forward to 2020, it popped up on my memories, so I shared it and then saw that the lady in the background was my mother-in-law."<br /><br />Jeni went on to meet Marilyn's son, Cameron, an oil field worker, a year later in 2019, and the couple have since married and had two daughters together, Carter, 2 and Kynnedi, 1. <br /><br />Neither Jeni or her mother-in-law recognised each other when they met under different circumstances, but both remember being at the show.<br /><br />Jeni said: "I sent the photo to my mother-in-law and and she was like: 'That was us.'<br /><br />"She was a complete stranger to me when I met her as Cameron's mum though.<br /><br />"I definitely think it's fate. I know they say small town, small world, but I think it's meant to be."
