A teenage girl has died in hospital following a two-car collision on the M73 in North Lanarkshire.<br /><br />The 42 year old man driving the other car was arrested over a road traffic offence, but was later released.<br /><br />Next up, the number of GP practices in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area who are not taking on new patients has reached a record level.<br /><br />Health board bosses have said a combination of staff absences, high flu and Covid levels, and an increasing number of frail patients have led to an unprecedented demand in services.<br /><br />And in other news, Glasgow City Council has received over £21 million in funding from the Scottish Government to boost recycling.<br /><br />This is set to go towards a new cardboard and paper kerbside collection and the renovation of Blochairn Recycling Centre which will ensure material is processed more effectively.
