A Glasgow carer has plead guilty to stealing £20,000 from an elderly patient.<br /><br />50-year-old Linda Dobbie from Govan, who was employed by Carr Gomm when the crime took place, told police she used the money to pay back her son’s drug debt. <br /><br />Next up, as Glasgow City Council prepares next year’s budget, its finance director has warned of huge challenges. <br /><br />Martin Booth said the pressure had come from increased inflation, while the Scottish government said it had given councils an additional £570 million in its December budget.<br /><br />And in other news, people travelling from Glasgow Airport can now fly directly to Barbados for the first time. <br /><br />Over 300 passengers made the first flight which was chartered by Hays Travel.
