A cold snap in Texas has left at least six people dead and 340,000 without power while thousands of flights were cancelled as runways turned into skating rinks.<br /><br />The wintry conditions have left much of the state dealing with the fallout of the unusually low temperatures.<br /><br />Thousands have been left without power and at least 2,300 flights were grounded causing travel chaos.<br /><br />But some Texans saw the fun side with one person ice skating down the street in Lake Dallas.<br /><br />Footage also shows the damage to one property in Flower Mound after a driver crashed into their backyard.<br /><br />Of the thousands of flights cancelled, at least 550 were at Dallas Fort Worth Airport, which is seen with a runway covered in snow and airport staff treating one plane for ice.<br /><br />The bad weather has resulted in at least six people dying and 340,000 without power and the National Weather Service has predicted that the cold snap will last until Thursday.<br /><br />The footage was captured on February 1.
