The First Minister has condemned the theft of two iconic sculptures from her Glasgow constituency.<br /><br />Nicola Sturgeon said the bronze Gorbals Boys represent a real connection to the city’s history and culture. <br /><br />Next, Glasgow City Council has adopted a new transport plan which is expected to see car traffic reduced in the area by up to forty percent.<br /><br />Their intentions are for walking to become the primary way of travelling around the city by 2030, and to make infrastructure more accessible to those with restricted mobility.<br /><br />And in other news, the local authorities have been awarded over two million pounds in funding to transform the Govan Graving Docks into a green space. <br /><br />It is one of fifteen projects that will share a ten million pound Scottish Government grant. <br /><br />And while the land has lain derelict for forty years, it was featured in Sam Mendes’ World War One film, 1917.
