AMC Theatres to Change Ticket Prices , According to Where You Sit.<br />NPR reports that the nation's largest movie <br />theater chain made the announcement on Feb. 6.<br />The changes are part of AMC's Sightline initiative.<br />Value Sightline seats refer to the <br />front row and will cost less.<br />Seats in the middle of the theater, <br />Preferred Sightline seats, will be more expensive.<br />The rest of the theater will be <br />referred to as Standard Sightline seats <br />and will be standard admission price.<br />Sightline at AMC more closely aligns AMC's seat pricing approach to that of many other entertainment venues, offering experienced-based pricing and another way for moviegoers to find value at the movies, Eliot Hamlisch, AMC Executive Vice President, via statement.<br />AMC Stubs A-List members won't be charged extra for Preferred Sightline seats.<br />The new pricing plan will only <br />apply to showtimes after 4 p.m.<br />$5 Discount Tuesdays will not be affected.<br />AMC intends to roll out Sightline pricing nationwide before the end of 2023
