This was going to be my first ever video to YouTube but for various reasons I am only just publishing it now.

After watching a number of videos from SerpaDesign I was inspired to have a go at building my own terrarium. I had an old unused fish tank that was too small really to be useful for actual fish that seemed perfect for the job.
I especially liked his Cactus and desert style Terrarium builds so decided to give that a go.

Note that not only was this supposed to be my first ever YouTube video it was also my first ever go at video editing. I actually put this project together in Lightworks about six months ago now but it would never finish exporting no matter how many times I tried with it.
My old laptop just wasn't up to the task of putting together a video project of this length, it could handle smaller projects but this one is a fair bit longer and was shot on three different cameras and turned out to be too much for it.
Finally after getting a new computer I was finally able to finish the project off, one bit of footage had to be removed as I explain towards the end of the video. It seemed to be corrupted and the export would get stuck at the same point every time I tried to export and even watching it back kept crashing the software at the exact same point time and again.
I've done a number of video projects since starting this one, not all of them for YouTube, and with each one I am getting better and better. I could have redone this one and made a much better job of the edit but it felt more honest upload it as it is in all it's ugly amateur glory.

I'll be making a follow up video to this one shortly but right now I hope you enjoy this my (Kind of) first ever YouTube Video.

If you are interested in having a look at my inspiration for this project the link below will take you to the SerpaDesign channel.

https://www.youtube.com/c/SerpaDesign
