Sculptures have been made by man since ancient times for a wide range of reasons and in all sizes. Perhaps the earliest sculpture, a 29.6 cm (11.7 inches) high figure called the Lion Man, was made very nearly quite a while back. The first Seven Miracles of the World included two sculptures: The Goliath of Rhodes and the Sculpture of Zeus at Olympia.
