A British Grand Prix catamaran team crew member was filmed dramatically going overboard at 30mph - but miraculously avoided injury.<br /><br />Matt Gotrel, 33, from the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix team, was thrown from the boat and repeatedly bounced up and down into the hull while attached to a safety line.<br /><br />The incident occurred on Saturday (February 18) during the Australia SailGP, in Sydney Harbour, as the British team were approaching the finish line at speeds close to 30mph.<br /><br />Teammates quickly pulled Matt from the water and managed to eventually cross the finish line in an admirable 6th place.<br /><br />Matt, from Chipping Campden, Glos., tweeted: "Some places aren't for standing! Top work by the team to get me back on board and finish the race. <br /><br />"A few dropped points, but thankfully just some bruises to bring home!"<br /><br />The event was marred by technical issues and many near-capsizes due to volatile weather conditions with the second day of racing being cancelled.
