Inspired by the actual files of Father Gabriele Amorth, Chief Exorcist of the Vatican (Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe), The Pope's Exorcist thriller movie follows Amorth as he investigates a young boy's terrifying possession and ends up uncovering a centuries-old conspiracy the Vatican has desperately tried to keep hidden.<br /><br />The Pope's Exorcist is directed by Julius Avery (Overlord, Samaritan). Michael Petroni and Evan Spiliotopoulos wrote the screenplay, which is based on books written by Father Gabriele Amorth.<br /><br />Franco Nero plays the Pope and the film also stars Laurel Marsden, River Hawkins, Pablo Raybould, Alex Essoe, Daniel Zovatto, and Ralph Ineson.<br /><br />The Pope's Exorcist hits UK cinemas on 7th April and then US cinemas on 14th April 2023.
