This is the heartwarming moment a couple got engaged - in front of Peter Kay dressed as Santa.<br /><br />Steve Drury, 53, popped the question to Stephanie Mann, 55, on stage in Birmingham last week (17/12).<br /><br />He organised the grand gesture by getting a note sent to Kay pre-show - and the comedian gamely agreed to play along.<br /><br />The couple were then called up on stage under the guise of doing karaoke, allowing Steve to propose in front of the crowd.<br /><br />The delivery worker said: "[Stephanie] was so shocked she didn't say 'yes' straight away - Peter had to prompt her.<br /><br />"That was a bit scary but the whole thing was fantastic. So many people congratulated us and offered selfies."<br /><br />Steve and Stephanie met in Norwich, where they now live, around four years ago.<br /><br />He said he had wanted to propose for a while but couldn't think of the right moment - until he secured tickets for Kay's gig.<br /><br />Steve wrote a letter pre-show and, telling legal secretary Stephanie he was going to the loo, found an usher.<br /><br />The note was then passed to Kay, 49, who agreed to play along.
