Squires & Eleanor Young <br /><br />Brunswick 2688<br /><br />1924 <br /><br />Radio Franks (team of Frank Wright & Frank Bessinger)<br /><br />The duo of Wright and Bessinger was most active as a recording team from 1924 to 1928.<br /><br />At first they were associated with Brunswick, but by the later 1920s they recorded mostly for Edison.<br /><br />Other labels featuring the duo's work include Cameo, Columbia, Pathé Actuelle, Perfect, and Vocalion.<br /><br />In 1926, they appeared in a short film for DeForrest Phonofilm. <br /><br />Jerome "Jerry" White (William Robyn) replaced Frank Wright in 1928.<br /><br />On February 5, 1938, Frank Bessinger and Jerry White opened a bar called "Radio Franks" on 70 E 55th Street in New York, which, despite a fire on the premises in 1944, stayed in business until at least 1949.<br /><br />Sound file was done by John Murphy.
