Tommy Fury burst into tears after beating Jake Paul and said the victory over the YouTuber-turned-boxer will help him establish his ' legacy' after sitting in his brother Tyson's shadow.

Fury and Paul went toe-to-toe on Sunday evening in Saudi Arabia. Fury beat Paul via split decision - with one judge scoring it 75-74 to Paul and the other two scoring it 76-73 to Fury.

Fury was visibly emotional after the fight and spoke about how the fight had 'consumed him' for the past two-and-a-half years. Nevertheless, Fury did say he would be open to a rematch.

Speaking directly after the fight, Fury said: 'For the past two and a half years this is all that consumed my life. Broken rib, was denied access and everyone thought I was running scared.

'Tonight I made my legacy. I am Tommy Fury. I want to dedicate this fight to my new baby girl Bambi at home and my Mrs. I love you and I can’t wait to see you. This fight was for you. This belt is for you Bambi I love you.'

He went on to add: 'I had a dream and a vision I would win this fight. No one believed me. Now I can stand up and everyone can take note. It was my first main event at 23 years old. I had a world of pressure on me and I came through.

'This to me is a world title fight. This was my dream and this was my destiny. This was my fate. I want to thank Saudi Arabia for having me. I love you all for having me and for turning out. You guys we did it. We did it.'

When asked whether he would be open to a rematch, Fury said: '100 percent this is my first main event. I’m only going to be stronger. I’m only going to bigger and better. There were a lot of nerves coming into it and I overrode that. If he wants a rematch, bring that.'

Meanwhile, Paul said: 'All respect to Tommy, he won. Don't judge me by my wins, judge me by my losses. I'll come back and I think we deserve the rematch. It was a great fight, a close fight. I don't know if I agree with the judges.

'I got a 10-8 round twice. It is what it is but I've already won in life. I've won in every single way, I have an amazing family, amazing friends, and an amazing work ethic.'

'Honestly, I felt flat. I got sick bad twice in this camp, injured my arm, so it wasn't my best performance,' he said before immediately insisting he was beaten by the better man.

'But I lost - I'm not making excuses. I'm just saying, it wasn't my best performance, I felt a little flat and as I said, we're going to come back and get that W.'

He finished by saying: 'Don't judge me by my wins, judge my by my losses - I'm going to come back stronger.'
