A block of medical silicone = muddy footsteps. A toy car riding down an air conditioning duct = tanks rolling into the battlefield. Sound designers Markus Stemler, Frank Kruse and their team made use of a variety of wild sounds to create a wartime collage for the picture "All Quiet on the Western Front."
