Mitch McConnell Is Hospitalized , After Falling at a Hotel.<br />CNN reports that the Senate minority leader fell at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Washington, D.C.<br />A spokesperson issued a statement on his behalf.<br />This evening, Leader McConnell tripped at a local hotel during a private dinner. He has been admitted to the hospital where <br />he is receiving treatment, Spokesperson for Mitch McConnell, via statement.<br />The extent of McConnell's injuries <br />has not been disclosed.<br />CNN reports that the 81-year-old had another fall in 2019 at his home in Kentucky.<br />He tripped on his patio and ended up fracturing his shoulder.<br />McConnell is the longest-serving <br />Republican Senate leader.<br />According to Senate.gov, he's been "elected to lead the Republican conference nine times since 2006.".<br />Senate.gov also states that McConnell's been referred <br />to as "the most important Republican since <br />Ronald Reagan" and "the most conservative leader <br />of either party in the history of the Senate.".<br />CNN reports that his hospitalization comes as Democrats narrowly control the chamber, 51-49.<br />Sens.
