Police Scotland is appealing for information following a serious four vehicle road crash on the A725 in Bellshill.<br /><br />It happened around 12pm on Wednesday 8 March, and a 56-year-old man who was riding a motorbike is now in critical, but stable condition at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.<br /><br />No one else was injured. <br /><br />Next up, Scotrail is set to run trains more frequently on Saturdays than during the week on its main Glasgow to Edinburgh route, following a change in travel habits triggered by the pandemic. <br /><br />With an increased number of people working from home there is less demand for commuter services, while more people are travelling between the cities at the weekend. <br /><br />And in other news, the city’s west end has been named the 12th coolest place to live in the UK in 2023 by a national survey. <br /><br />Naturecan conducted the public vote, which also placed Polperro in Cornwall top of the list, and Edinburgh’s Leith in seventh.
